...more Gift Card Tins
I continue to work on an easier way to decorate the gift tins. I tried a new process but continue to use 1x1 paper squares with a mod podge finish. These are the most recent batch with a winter holiday theme. I like the way they turned out but I can locate a flaw in each one. I will need to get some feedback from a fellow crafter (My Happy Turtle) who does beautiful work.

Gift Card Tins
This is a band-aide tin that I have decorated with paper squares and ribbons. I plan to use the tin to hold a gift card. I really love giving gift cards but have always wondered if the recepient feels like the gift is without thought or effort. This way of wrapping the card fulfills my need to show that I truly do put thought and effort into the gift.

Re-entering the blogosphere
I'm back after traversing the elemental world. Almost a year since I last made a footprint in the virtual sphere. Day to day life swallowed my extra time to play with paper. The sleepy dogs are well and resting comfortably on the respective air-conditioning vents. I have moved some of my craft stash from the basement to above ground quarters and my workspace is coming together.
Before I get started, here are a few newer pics of the puppies from January 2007. They just make my heart happy.
Handsome Clyde
Beautiful Kaya
....back to the craft mission.
Today's Goal:
1) Hang two bulletin boards and a dry erase board on the wall. Must find a drill.
2) Sketch a plan for a small gift card tin.
I am off to find the drill.

My first post to a newly created blog.
I hope to use this space to record some of my creations. I have been making cards for possibly 6 years. They have been given to family and friends and I always intend to photograph or copy the finished product. Rarely have I remembered to do either and if I did by chance make a copy or take a photo, I have no idea where I have placed the result. So, I am attempting the use of a blog for record of my efforts. We'll see how that works out.
